FAQs

Where is ExplorerFest?

ExplorerFest 2025 will be held at Reflections Jimmys Beach in Hawks Nest, NSW. The festival grounds are on Worimi Country and we pay our respects to elders past and present. Always was, always will be.

When is ExplorerFest?

9am Friday 2nd of May, 2025 until 12pm Sunday 4th May, 2025

Who can I contact for more information?

Reach out to basecamp@weareexplorers.co and we’ll be happy to answer any questions!

Can I bring my own alcohol and food?

Yes! We’ll have food trucks and a pop up bar in the festival area (no BYO here) but definitely bring your own food, snacks, and drinks for your accommodation.

Are there hot showers at the festival park?

Yes! Reflections Jimmys Beach has amenity blocks and all of the villas, cabins, tiny houses, and even glamping tents have private shower and bathroom facilities within.

What should I bring?

Essentials include: sunscreen, a hat, a reusable water bottle, swimmers, warm clothes for night time, insect repellent, enclosed shoes, sandals or thongs, a beach towel, a torch, a small backpack, a camping chair, food, snacks, any drinks you’d like, and a sense of adventure.

What’s included in my ticket?

Festival entry, all workshops, activities, and entertainment. Accommodation is additional to your ticket, depending on what you choose. Food trucks and the bar are not included in your ExplorerFest ticket.

Can I park my car at the festival, and travel in and out?

You can park in the festival grounds but your car will have to be there before 12pm on Friday to guarantee entry and won’t be able to leave until Sunday. Sorry! Parking is tight and there is 1 regular car space allocated for each individual campsite/accommodation.

Car pooling and street parking near the festival will be your friend.

Please note, the Tiny Homes don't have a car spot as these are located in the main festival site.

Can I bring my dog or other pets to ExplorerFest?

No, sorry! We’re keeping ExplorerFest pet free to ensure the safety of all guests.

Is ExplorerFest child-friendly?

Yes! We have tickets for kids 6-17 and cheaper tickets for kids 5 and under. However all kids will need a guardian over 18 with them to attend the festival.

Adults will need proof of age to be able to buy drinks from the bar.

Do I have to book accommodation on site to attend ExplorerFest?

Yep! We have camping, cabins, tiny houses, and places to park your van or camper available. Once Reflections Jimmys Beach is sold out we’ll open up overflow information.

What’s the itinerary?

You’ll get a site map and schedule upon check in. Workshops, activities, and entertainment will run from Friday afternoon until midday on Sunday. They’re all included in your ticket.

What do I do when I arrive?

Enjoy the pristine surroundings! Check in is from 9:00am with proceedings kicking off from 11:30am on Friday. Check out by 12pm Sunday.

How do I lug my gear to the festival if I'm using street parking?

On arrival, you can drive into the reception area and drop your gear at the drop-off zone. From there you can find a street park, with a short walk back. We'll have crew there to give you a hand watching your belongings if you're travelling alone.

I can’t buy tickets, will more be available?

Potentially! We’ll be releasing tickets in waves to manage demand. If you can’t buy a ticket join the waitlist to be the first to know about the next drop. Or reach out to basecamp@weareexplorers.co.

Are there earlybird tickets for ExplorerFest?

Yes! On sale from Wednesday 4th of December 2024 on this webpage. These are our cheapest tickets and offer the first choice of accommodation, get them before they’re gone!

Can I cancel my ticket and accommodation?

All of our bookings are final. If you need to sell your ticket and facilitate a name change, we’ll charge an admin fee to cover the time of reassigning tickets and accommodation.
